What Began as a Singular Drive Evolved into an Encouraging Journey for Many.

Security And Satisfaction In Retirement: That’s Our History And Our Future.

Senior Quality Lifestyles Corporation began in 2001 as a result of Charles Brewer’s search for the right retirement setting for his mother. He decided that what was in his head did not yet exist—so he built it. Upon founding SQLC, he established its first community at Edgemere in Dallas, followed by The Buckingham in Houston (2005), Querencia at Barton Creek in Austin (2007), and, in 2011, Mirador in Corpus Christi and The Stayton at Museum Way in Fort Worth.

The mission of SQLC is to provide seniors with an unparalleled lifestyle, to honor their sense of family, and to safeguard their sense of sound investment. SQLC envisions a world of comfort, involvement, peace of mind and extraordinary health care, surrounded by active-minded neighbors and proactively minded staff. The personal and financial security of Life Care is one of its most important operational philosophies.

Its philanthropic arm—the Charitable Foundation—began in 2008.

Progress has been constant and decisive. In conjunction with our senior living communities, there have been many projects and programs in support of our mission since our founding, and many more are planned.

Please read up on the latest news and our most recent programs. And of course, if you’d like to support the SQLC Charitable Foundation, there are many ways to do so. Here’s more information.
